Forager House has
had a presence in the antiques community for almost a half century, having been started in the early 1960’s by Richard Kemble and George Korn in Bucks
County, Pennsylvania. They exhibited at major antique shows in the
northeast part of the country.
In the early 1980’s they opened their shop, The Forager House
Collection, in Nantucket, Massachusetts, which they operated for 20 years.
This unique
shop featured antique American Folk Art, Nautical antiques, Nantucket
Memorabilia, contemporary folk artists and the art work of Richard
Kemble.
After Richard’s death in 2007, George has continued the tradition.
This website is designed to showcase the unique collection amassed by
the two partners. It features antique American Folk Art, pottery works of Byron Temple and of Peters and Reed, Collegiate
Memorabilia and the works of Tony Sarg, of whom Korn is a leading
authority plus some outstanding vintage Nantucket memorabilia.
We are also proud to present some of the 350 woodcut
editions that Kemble executed during his prolific career.
